This is probably the largest “Brite Blue Dot” I’ve ever seen. For those not familiar, this campaign began during the 2004 election here in Alabama. It has grown substatially in metro Birmingham and nationwide. With elections approaching, I guess it was only a matter of time before they started including buildings in the act. This image shows what people driving into town along Richard Arrington, Jr. Blvd. will see for the immediate future during their drives into the city center. It’ll be interesting to see what happens next.
If you want to learn more about this phenomenon, visit britebluedot.com.
There are some more images from the weekend in the previous post regarding the clean up effort in Ensley on Saturday morning as part of the Renew our Rivers campaign. More later.
Enjoy the day.
Cheers.

I live in Birmingham and these stikers are a joke. You might see one on every 10,000 cars you see and these people think it’s a bid deal. You see about 100 “W” stickers to every one of these.
Comment by Todd October 16, 2006 @ 1:45 pmI moved to B-ham from Rochester, NY 6 months ago for school (I WILL be returning to my liberal hometown ASAP. I love seeing these stickers! I just wish their were more. I do also notice that most of the “W” stickers are stuck on the back of gas-gulping SUV’s & trucks with one person riding in them (of course on their cell).
